Kiln – Cast Glass

8,500 $

Kiln- cast glass unique piece. Kiln casting is a glassworking technique where glass is melted inside a kiln into a pre-formed mold. Unlike glassblowing or hot casting (where molten glass is poured), kiln casting involves placing cold glass—such as frits, billets, or crushed “cullet”—directly into or above a mold. As the kiln heats to temperatures typically between 1,470°F and 1,700°F, the glass liquifies and flows to fill every detail of the cavity.
