Ojulowo Kolawole (full name Kolawole Joshua Ojulowo) is a Nigerian visual artist born in May 1997, who currently lives and works as a full-time studio artist in Lagos, Nigeria. His work focuses on celebrating African subjects, highlighting their distinctive features and cultural pride, often depicted in a vintage-inspired, historical style using patterns from Western culture. He uses acrylic on canvas, frequently in combination with gold leaf and oil paint, mixing colors of similar values. His works, such as “The Gathering” and “Faces,” have been showcased at institutions like the Nike Art Foundation and at art fairs, including the +234Art Fair.
