Born in Bursa, Turkey, in 1970, Hamide Erdem initially pursued a career in mechanical engineering, graduating from the Middle East Technical University and working in the automotive industry for 25 years. Her passion for history led her to complete a second degree in the subject, and she simultaneously developed her art education in various studios. She primarily works with watercolors on paper and creates handmade ceramics. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and has organized watercolor workshops.
